The litter box
Kittens from a cattery are usually already litter-trained. Put the box in a quiet, easy-to-reach spot, and for the first few days show it to your kitten after naps and meals.
The scratching post
Place the scratching post where your kitten likes to hang out, and encourage it with play right next to the post.
Play is training
Ten to fifteen minutes of active play twice a day burns off extra energy and cuts down on mischief.
