Who processes your data

This website belongs to Murtown, a home cattery with cats of many breeds ("we", "us"). We decide why and how the data you send through the website is used. You can reach us about your personal data via the details on the Contacts page.

What data we receive

Only what you type into the forms yourself:

• Reservation request: name, phone, Telegram username (optional), city, the kitten you chose, a comment.
• Question: name, a way to reply to you (phone, Telegram or e-mail) and your question.
• Waiting list: name, phone and/or Telegram username, preferred sex and colour of the kitten, a comment. If you open our Telegram bot, we receive the chat ID so we can send you a notification.
• Kitten handover: if you take a kitten home, we record what is needed for the delivery: recipient, phone, city and address or carrier branch, tracking number. You give us these details personally and only the cattery sees them.

We never ask for passport details, bank cards or passwords. Visit statistics (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies from Google and Meta are switched on only if you allow them in the cookie banner; see "Cookies" below. If you came to the site from one of our ads, a short campaign label (for example "meta_transport") is added to your request so we know which ads work.

Why we need it

• to answer your request or question and arrange a visit to meet a kitten;
• to tell you about new kittens if you are on the waiting list;
• to arrange the handover or delivery of a kitten once you become its owner;
• to understand which pages are useful and improve the site, only if you allowed statistics;
• to see which of our ads bring people in and show them to people who may be interested, only if you allowed advertising cookies.

We don't sell your data. What you type into the forms (name, phone, comment) is never passed to advertising services: Google and Meta only learn that an action happened, for example that a form was sent, and only with your consent. We don't send newsletters you didn't agree to.

Legal basis

We process your data based on the consent you give by ticking the box in the form, in line with the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection". For visitors from the EU the legal bases are consent and steps taken at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b) GDPR). Statistics and advertising cookies are used only with the consent you give in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time; this doesn't affect processing that happened before.

Where the data is stored and who sees it

• The website is hosted on Vercel, and form data and photos are stored in a Supabase database and storage. Their servers may be located outside Ukraine. These services process data only to run the website.
• The cattery owner gets a Telegram notification about each new request or question.
• If you allowed statistics, visits are processed by Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA). If you also allowed advertising cookies, Google may use this data to measure our Google Ads.
• If you allowed advertising cookies and the Meta pixel is connected (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA), Meta learns which pages you opened and whether you sent a form, so we can see which Instagram and Facebook ads work.
• Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies: the page address, where you came from, country, device and browser type. It stores no IP addresses and does not recognise you the next day.
• Google and Meta do not receive what you type into the forms.
• Only the cattery owner can open the cabinet with your data, after signing in with a personal login.
• Data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Database access is restricted by row-level security rules.

When you visit the website, the hosting provider may automatically log technical data (IP address, browser type, time of the request) to protect the site from attacks and keep it running.

How long we keep it

No longer than needed for the purposes above. We regularly delete outdated requests and waiting-list entries. Any record can be deleted sooner — just ask us.

Cookies

Necessary. Technical cookies are used only to sign the owner in to the cabinet. Preferences such as your language or your answer to the cookie banner are stored in your browser so the site remembers them.

Statistics, only with your consent. If you click "Accept all" or "Statistics only" in the banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It sets the _ga and _ga_… cookies and receives: the pages you view, where you came from, your device and browser type, approximate location (country, city), and actions on the site such as sending a form (without its contents) and opening Telegram, Instagram, a phone number or e-mail. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses; Google Signals are off. The data is kept in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months. With this consent the site also remembers the ad label you came from for up to 30 days.

Advertising, only with your consent. If you click "Accept all", Google may set advertising cookies (_gcl_…), and the Meta pixel, if connected, sets the _fbp and _fbc cookies. This shows us which ad you came from and whether you sent a request, and lets ad systems show our ads to people who have already visited the site. "Statistics only" does not switch advertising cookies on.

If you click "Decline" or don't answer, neither statistics nor advertising load. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the site; after you decline, the related cookies are deleted.

Your rights

You can:

• find out what data we hold about you and get a copy;
• correct inaccurate data;
• ask us to delete your data or restrict its processing;
• withdraw your consent;
• complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (EU residents: to the data protection authority of their country).

To use these rights, write to us via Contacts. We'll reply as soon as we can, usually within a few days.

Children

The website is not intended to collect data from children. If you are under 16, please fill in the form together with a parent.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date below. Significant changes won't apply to data you already gave us without your consent.
