The first weeks at home
For the first few days, keep feeding your kitten the same food it was used to at the cattery. Switch to a new food gradually over 7–10 days.
Routine and water
- Keep fresh water in several places around the house.
- Kittens do best with small portions several times a day.
- Choose bowls that are stable and wide, with a low rim.
Coat care
Short-haired munchkins only need brushing once a week, long-haired ones two or three times. It's also a lovely bonding ritual.
Claws, ears and eyes
Trim the claws every 2–3 weeks with proper cat nail clippers. Check the ears and eyes while you brush. If anything worries you, see your veterinarian.
